Cathay Bank Participated in the CFA Institute Research Challenge

Cathay Bank participated in the CFA Institute Research Challenge, a global competition that allows university students to apply financial analysis skills in real-world scenarios. A student team was assigned Cathay Bank as their subject company and visited our corporate offices earlier this month for an in-depth session with Mr. Chang M. Liu, President & CEO, and Mr. Albert Wang, EVP, Deputy CFO.

“We are thrilled to be part of this research challenge, as it reinforces our commitment to the younger generations and our support of education, professional development, and community engagement,” said Liu. “It is also important to understand the perspective of the next generation of financial leaders.”

“Engaging with these bright, aspiring professionals has been a rewarding experience,” said Wang. Hosted by CFA Society Los Angeles, the challenge connects students with industry professionals, bridging academic learning and practical experience.
